Mother-daughter duo Karina Pham and Margaret Tong, the owners of Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar, recently offered a sneak peek of the newly renovated space at 1350 Concourse Ave, formerly home to Wolf River Brisket Co.

“Introducing our exclusive private dining room at Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar,” they shared in a post. “Whether it’s an intimate celebration, a corporate event, or a family reunion, our space offers a unique atmosphere and delicious cuisine to elevate your experience.”

Named after the family’s youngest sister, Bao Toan means “to protect and preserve,” a sentiment that reflects the owners’ mission to honor their Vietnamese heritage. Tong previously told What Now Memphis that the menu will feature sophisticated interpretations of classic Vietnamese cuisine.

Permits show that the restaurant’s signage has been installed, and Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar is set to open before the end of 2024.

“From our family to yours, we can’t wait to welcome you to the table,” reads an update from the restaurant.
