According to a Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development report, the multinational ice cream chain will open at 2200 Red Wolf Blvd, across from Starbucks. Jonesboro was previously home to a Baskin-Robbins store on East Highland Dr, which closed in 2019 after 18 years in business.
Founded in 1945 by brothers-in-law Burton Baskin and Irvine Robbins, Baskin-Robbins is now recognized as the world’s largest ice cream brand. The chain is famous for its “31 flavors” of ice cream, allowing customers to enjoy a different treat every day of the month.
Baskin-Robbins boasts over 1,400 ice cream flavors across more than 7,800 locations worldwide, including several in the Memphis area. Notably, the Midtown Baskin-Robbins is currently relocating to a larger, upgraded space.
As the owner of Munchy’s Specialty Sandwiches and the franchisee behind both Jonesboro Guthrie’s Chicken locations, Brian Biggs brings extensive experience to this new venture.
The forthcoming Jonesboro store will be situated in a renovated former car dealership. With multiple access points and high visibility, this modern multi-tenant center is “an ideal spot for Baskin-Robbins’ return.”
Construction on the 1,223-square-foot space is already underway, and Biggs hopes to open the new Baskin-Robbins soon.
