A new coffee shop is brewing in Byhalia, Mississippi.
Construction is underway at 8122 MS-178, where owner Courtney Kassner is converting part of her wildly popular custom Bible business, Crew + Co, into a coffee shop.
In a recent social media update, Courtney shared photos of the bright, under-construction space with the caption, “
COFFEE SHOP renovation is underway! Up next: plumbing for the kitchen and espresso machine! What holiday drinks would you like to see on the menu? 
“
In 2015, Courtney and her husband, Will, launched Crew + Co, specializing in children’s screen-printed t-shirts using Courtney’s hand-lettered designs. That same year, they felt inspired to help their then-only child, Crew, memorize Scripture.
Unable to find suitable resources, Courtney designed her own, creating 52 watercolor backgrounds and hand-lettering verses for what became the Volume 1 Scripture Cards.
In a recent update honoring National Coffee Day, Courtney shared exciting news about the coffee shop’s renovations and permitting progress. She mentioned that they are currently in talks with a potential Memphis-based coffee roaster and supplier.
The coffee shop itself will be fun and vibrant, complete with funky furniture and a gallery wall. It will also serve as a partial storefront for Crew + Co and other small businesses.
