Yesterday, on JoJo’s fourth anniversary, the couple shared that the coffee shop will be relocating from its current suite to a much larger space at 1730 S Germantown Rd in Thornwood, formerly home to Newk’s Eatery.

The new Germantown location will be much bigger, growing from 850 to over 5,000 square feet. While the current space accommodates just 18 guests, the upcoming café will seat more than 100, with ample tables and cozy areas to relax.

In addition to the spacious upgrade, JoJo’s longtime partner, Palmer House Bakery, will be baking on-site. Owner Sophie Pier will serve up her signature gluten-free treats, including macarons, puff pastries, oatmeal cream pies, and chocolate chip muffins.

At the new location, JoJo’s will serve both breakfast and lunch, with six or seven items on each menu. Breakfast options will include breakfast tacos and ham-and-cheese croissants, while the lunch menu will feature sandwiches like turkey pesto paninis, fresh salads, and a rotating soup of the week.

Construction is already underway, and the new JoJo’s Espresso is scheduled to open in February 2025 alongside the forthcoming Le Bonheur location.

“We’re absolutely overjoyed and so grateful for this new chapter,” the Whiddons said in their announcement. “Amazing days are ahead! Stay tuned for updates!”
