According to the eatery’s Facebook page, Junior’s Eatin’ House will soon open at 2450 Hwy 51 South in Hernando, Mississippi.
Business records reveal that James LoSapio is behind the venture. LoSapio is Vice President of Operations at River City Management Group, which is responsible for several local establishments including The Kings Palace Café’s Tap Room and Rum Boogie Café on Beale St, as well as the newly opened Lucky Dog Music Hall & Bar in Southaven’s Silo Square.
Although LoSapio did not respond to inquiries from What Now Memphis, the restaurant’s Facebook bio says that it will serve “the quintessential southern ‘meat and three,’ with down-home friendly service.” Photos on the page feature dishes like mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and meatloaf.
Notably, nearby seafood spot The Parish recently clarified that it has no connection to Junior’s Eatin’ House, despite the new restaurant opening in a location that previously housed their own establishment, also called Junior’s. In a social media post, they shared:
We have had numerous inquiries about the new Junior’s Eatin’ House that coincidentally happens to be opening in the location where we previously owned a restaurant named Junior’s. Because it has a similar name and is opening in our former location, we feel the need to inform everyone that we are not affiliated with this new Junior’s Eatin’ House in any way. None of our recipes were purchased or obtained by Junior’s Eatin’ House and no former employees are affiliated to the best of our knowledge. Thank you.
