The company recently applied for a commercial alteration permit that is currently under review for a new location at The Shops at Arlington Village. If approved, Marco’s Pizza will redevelop the space with new walls, ceilings, finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, food equipment, sprinkler modifications, and pizza oven hood, according to permit record details. The new pizza shop will join several other businesses already in the shopping center, Fowlin Out, Smoothie King, Buff City Soap, Children’s Dental, and more. The shopping center started construction for a new Kroger at the beginning of the year.

Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco launched the company just outside of Toledo in 1978 and has expanded it into one of the most authentic Italian pizza companies in the country with the help of franchising. Most Marco’s Pizzas in the Memphis area are found in the east/ northeast region, with a few sites on the other side of the Mississippi border. This will be the furthest northeast site in the Memphis area.

“We got here by doing things the right way because when you love pizza this much, that’s the only way to do things,” according to the company’s website. “Our dedication to quality has made us one of the fastest-growing pizza brands in America, providing plenty of delicious moments and opportunities along the way. Our founder, Pat Giammarco’s vision wasn’t just to serve pizza, it was to serve quality pizza—and have people keep coming back for more.”
