Yemen Gate Grill Inc. has recently filed city permits to establish a restaurant at 1105 N Houston Levee Rd, Suite 105. The new 1,800-square-foot eatery will be located in the same center as Mr. J’s Buffalo Wings and La Fogata Mexican Restaurant.

In a brief conversation with What Now Memphis, owner Gamal S. Al-Dhubiea shared that the chef is coming from Chicago and is currently developing the menu. Although Al-Dhubiea declined to provide specific details about the cuisine, the restaurant’s name suggests a focus on grilled dishes with Middle Eastern influences, including various kebabs and marinated meats.

While a grand opening date has not yet been set, Al-Dhubiea plans to launch Yemen Gate Grill before the end of 2024. He promised to share more details with What Now Memphis at a later date.
