A new ice cream shop is in the works near Bartlett.

Recent city permits reveal that Sweet Escape will be located at 1674 Whitten Rd, Suite 106, in the same plaza as Dunkin’ and Subway. The 1,440-square-foot space will seat up to 10 people.

Owner Ahmed Alshugaa confirmed this news with What Now Memphis but would not disclose details about the menu.

Alshugaa said he cannot provide a specific timeframe for Sweet Escape’s opening but promised to share updates once more concrete information becomes available. Stay tuned for further details as the project progresses.
