Baron’s Speakeasy recently filed several permits with the city to establish its location in Williamsburg Village at 702 S Mendenhall Rd. Dara Vongphrachanh, one of the project partners, briefly confirmed this news with What Now Memphis.

The speakeasy is a spinoff of Baron’s Barbershop, an award-winning, Germantown-based establishment founded by Vongphrachanh in 2015. Situated behind a new barbershop, the speakeasy will offer cocktails, small plates, and outdoor seating.

The permits reveal that the space will undergo a significant facelift in preparation for the speakeasy. Planned renovations include new walls, a new ceiling, a fresh paint job, and more.

According to a recent Facebook update from Jones Aur Commercial Real Estate, Baron’s Speakeasy is slated to debut in early 2025.
