According to The Daily Memphian, Maximo’s owners Julio and Amy Zuniga have transformed their former tapas bar and restaurant into a boutique wine bar, a concept Amy felt was missing in the Memphis area. Maximo’s on Broad closed on June 29, 2024 to facilitate the transition.
In addition to small-batch wines, Non-Vintage will offer liquor, specialty cocktails, and local beers on tap, all within a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that includes a lounge area with couches, chairs, and dining tables. The food menu will feature various cheeses, charcuterie, and light tapas.
Amy told The Daily Memphian that the name is a playful nod to the distinction between vintage and non-vintage wines.
Non-Vintage Wine Bar is expected to open by the end of October 2024. For updates, follow the bar on Instagram.
