According to a report from Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development, Smalls Sliders is coming to 2807 Red Wolf Blvd in Jonesboro, in front of Sumo Japanese Steakhouse.
Backed by former NFL quarterback Drew Brees, Smalls Sliders is a quick-serve, slider-centric restaurant. The simple menu features fresh-to-order cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries, milkshakes, and the eatery’s signature “smauce.”
Each restaurant is housed in a Smalls Sliders “Can,” an innovative prototype comprised of several orange and gray shipping containers with a full-service drive-through, walk-up window, and outdoor patio. The Jonesboro location will be situated just off I-555, near the busy intersection of Red Wolf Blvd and Phillips/Apache Drive.
The Baton Rouge-based chain currently boasts 13 restaurants in Louisiana and one in Mississippi, with 240 Cans under development in multiple states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas. Thirty are slated to open in 2024.
Franchisees David and Amber Kearbey, along with their operations manager, Matt Crews, are excited to bring the first Smalls Sliders restaurant to Arkansas.
“When looking for our next business venture, we wanted to invest in a brand that allowed us to have a close relationship with the entire team,” Amber said last year in a press release.
“We were immediately attracted to Smalls Sliders for the unique structure of the Cans and the fresh, cooked-to-order sliders. After meeting the Smalls Sliders Squad, we knew that we made the right decision.”
Construction has already started on the site, and “Small Sliders is expected to be open in time to fulfill all your weekend tailgate needs,” said Zac Quails, executive broker at Haag Brown Commercial.
