The former After Hours Bistro is currently undergoing minor renovations, with a targeted opening date next month. Tierra plans to serve hot wings, fish, burgers, salad and beer, among other classic favorites.

And — if everything falls into place — she also hopes to make the restaurant into an inviting hookah lounge.

Hookah lounges are a popular Memphis pastime, and the city hosts dozens of establishments.

The Lab Lounge will seat approximately 50 people for dine-in service and is centrally located in Binghampton, the geographic heart of Memphis. The small neighborhood packs a big impact, drawing local residents to Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, the Broad Avenue Arts District, and the Robert Howze Park.
