The company’s newest location, owned by Texas-based Memphis Wings Operations LLC, will move into the Stage Collection Shopping Center. Franchise owner Troy Morrison tells What Now Memphis the company expects to open this new location in January or December. Morrison also says the Memphis Wings has several more locations in the works, opening over the next few years, including sites in Union Avenue, South Haven, Horn Lake, Millington, and Germantown.
“We are excited to purchase these units and bring flavor to more guests in the area,” Morrison said last year after the acquisition. “We know that there’s a lot of opportunity for our brand, and we are planning to continue expanding so more guests can experience our hand-sauced-and-tossed, cooked-to-order goodness.”
Memphis Wings came onto the Memphis scene last year when it announced the acquisition of nine restaurants across Tennessee and Mississippi. Other Wingstops owned by the company include Jackson, three in Memphis, another Bartlett site, and Mississippi locations in Tupelo, Starkville, Oxford, and Olive Branch. These locations all fall into Morrison’s portfolio with North Texas Bells, which started as a Taco Bell franchise. The company ended last year with 63 Taco Bells and 23 Wingstop locations with this acquisition.
“Our goal is to reach 100 total locations, and it’s realistic to think we’ll get there by 2024,” Morrison tells Terra Firm Magazine. “Our 10-year plan is to reach 150 locations between the two brands.”
