Petals of a Peony, one of the few Sichuan restaurants in the Greater Memphis area, will soon expand to Overton Square with a second eatery at 2110 Madison Ave. Spearheaded by the same Chicago-based company behind Flame Ramen, this venture follows the tremendous success of the original Cordova establishment, which opened its doors in August 2023.

At the new Petals of a Peony location, diners can expect a slightly smaller menu showcasing authentic Sichuan cuisine, as well as some American Chinese and Asian options. From enticing lunch specials and an extensive dinner selection to an impressive array of beverages and desserts, there’s something to delight every palate.

Appetizers range from savory dumplings to crispy spring rolls, while main courses feature noodle and rice dishes, flavorful soups, and an array of meat, tofu, and vegan entrees. Patrons can also indulge in a thoughtfully curated lineup of beers and teas, along with unique desserts like Matcha Tiramisu and Sweet Rice Soup with Rice Dumplings.

Under the leadership of Operations Manager Will Weng, the new location is set to welcome guests on June 1, 2024, promising an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of Overton Square.
