The former Happy Smoke & Vape shop, located just off the Blues Highway, Route 61, in the Westwood neighborhood near Rayford’s All In One Hot Wings barbecue restaurant, is currently under construction. It will be fully renovated to house a small to-go restaurant with limited seating while you wait. Keisha expects the restaurant to open by late July or early August.

Keisha has been working in the restaurant industry for 27 years, running other people’s businesses. She recently began operating her own Grandma Bessie Soul Food Express food truck, serving up hot and fresh soul food on the go, and looks forward to owning her own shop.

The restaurant menu will be based on the well-known food truck offerings, featuring the best of Southern soul food, including chicken, pork chops, collard greens, fried okra and more. There will also be some all-American staple favorites such as burgers, fries and wings.

I’ve had several different entrees on this food truck. Each one was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, generous portions and welcoming customer service. Every bite is like a comforting hug, only your grandma can give. I’m super excited about this new opening!
