A slew of city permits reveals that Grill Madness is coming to 2895 Poplar Ave. The 2,800-square-foot eatery has undergone roughly $250,000 worth of renovations and will accommodate up to 18 patrons.

A Special Use Permit has been granted to enable the operation of an existing drive-thru window at the restaurant, which will occupy a building previously used for dining. Landscaping will be added to screen the drive-thru from the street.

Although specific details about the menu are scarce, the Grill Madness website hints at a variety of classic American offerings, including sandwiches, burgers, chicken tenders, salads, and possibly even some Asian-inspired dishes. Additionally, the permits indicate that the restaurant will serve alcohol.

Owner Huang Guokang told What Now Memphis that the eatery is still in the permitting phase, with an opening date to be determined. He declined to provide additional details.
