Tasty Chick’n operates 95 KFC restaurants across eight states in the Mid South, 15 of which are co-branded with Taco Bell, as well as a support center located in Memphis.

At the corner of Whitten and Charles Bryan Roads, the small but mighty restaurant will offer extremely limited window counter seating inside, catering more to customers using the Quick Pick-Up service on the KFC website or app, as well as delivery services like Grub Hub and Door Dash. Designated parking spaces for Quick Pick-Up patrons allow for a faster-than-drive-through experience for those looking to make a super-quick stop.

“What’s interesting about this KFC is that it is going to be primarily a drive-through. It’s called a New Age model,” says Abigail.

Its smaller size means it can be up and running more quickly than the traditional model. Abigail anticipates breaking ground within weeks — if not days — and harbors hopes of opening before the holiday season.

The new site is a prime fast-casual thoroughfare along Whitten Rd., connecting Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 79. It will employ approximately 30 people from the surrounding community.

KFC, known for its finger-lickin’ good chicken, also offers sandwiches, pot pies, bowls and wraps, as well as all the sides one expects with a Southern chicken dinner and more than a half-dozen dipping sauces to choose from.
