Franchisee and local restaurateur Abraham Valenzuela, alongside his son Diego Valenzuela, are spearheading this venture. While an official opening date has not yet been set, a recently filed commercial alteration permit indicates that the project is still in its early construction phase.
Established by founder Ross Franklin in 2014, Pure Green has quickly gained popularity with over 80 locations nationwide. Along with its array of cold-pressed juices and juice shots, the eatery serves superfood smoothies, pitaya and açaí bowls, steel-cut oatmeal bowls, and superfood toasts. All items at Pure Green are vegetarian, with many being gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
Sharing a building with Chipotle and Kami Ramen Bar, the 1,500-square-foot Pure Green space will soon undergo interior alterations, including new wall finishes, fixtures, and a fresh coat of paint.
Abraham, who is also behind several local restaurants including the recently opened Chukis Tacos and the upcoming Asaderos, brings a wealth of industry expertise to the table.
With Valenzuela’s proven track record in the Memphis restaurant scene and Pure Green’s reputation for exceptional plant-based offerings across the nation, Pure Green is sure to exceed expectations at the Ridgeway Trace Center.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Pure Green Memphis would be led solely by franchisee and local restaurateur Abraham Valenzuela. However, Valenzuela’s son, who goes by Diego, will serve as co-owner.
