A Lakeland-based bubble tea shop is expanding to Memphis.
Boba Society Milk Tea & Snack Bar recently revealed plans to open a second location at 17 S Highland St in the former site of Tenn Tea, another boba tea shop. Last month, Tenn Tea announced a temporary closure for renovations, but now it appears that the eatery will not be renewing its lease.
Since its establishment in July 2022, Boba Society has cultivated a loyal local following. The shop offers a diverse selection of handcrafted beverages including milk teas, signature ice blends and slushies, and slow-drip Vietnamese-style coffee. Complementing these drinks are a variety of light bites such as Korean corn dogs, Hong Kong-style bubble waffles, and Taiwanese popcorn chicken.
