According to a press release, Playa Bowls will make its Tennessee debut next Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 706 S Mendenhall Rd in East MemphisWilliamsburg Village Shopping Center. What Now Memphis previously reported that the new store would open in March, but it looks like franchisees Amy Lupo and Jack Speed faced some minor setbacks.

In addition to its signature açaí, pitaya, and coconut bowls, Playa Bowls offers smoothies, oatmeal, cold-pressed juices, and cold brew. Popular menu items include the Nutella Oatmeal Bowl, Açaí Power Bowl, and Sweet Cream Cold Brew. The eatery also provides catering services at select locations.

Alongside the flagship Tennessee spot, Lupo and Speed have inked a deal to open two additional sites in the Memphis area by 2025, though the specific locations remain undisclosed for now. The duo also expressed a desire to expand further after successfully launching the initial three locations.

With over 200 branches nationwide, Playa Bowls is primed to make a splash with its inaugural Tennessee smoothie bowl site. Stay tuned for further updates as more details emerge about the two upcoming locations.
