A new rooftop bar and grill is set to open soon in Southaven.
Husband-and-wife duo Donna and Glen Wadford are launching Wadford’s Rooftop Grille at 6080 Getwell Rd, in the space formerly occupied by Top Shelf Grill.
Seasoned restaurateurs, the Wadfords have opened several local eateries, including Fisherdale Marina on the Tennessee River in Decaturville; Donna’s Grill in Olive Branch; and Wadford’s Grill & Bar on Church Road in Southaven. About a year ago, Donna also launched Donna Wadford Interior & Gifts in Senatobia.
The serial entrepreneur described the new beach-themed eatery as “a business bar that will cater to a niche with primarily smaller plates,” according to The Daily Memphian. Donna envisions the restaurant as a space where professionals can bring clients for lunch or unwind with family after work.
The menu will feature dishes like lobster deviled eggs, shrimp risotto in cream sauce, and burgers, with a full sneak peek coming soon.
Interviews are currently underway to find enthusiastic, customer-focused staff. Donna told What Now Memphis that she hopes to open the restaurant within the next few weeks. “Prayers on permits,” she said.
