The company’s newest location will be a part of a 20-year project spreading over 500 acres that includes a variety of retail, restaurants, custom homes, semi-custom homes, condos, and business space, according to the Oxford Eagle. The new Oxford Commons will also include The Pearl Project, a multi-family residential community located on Commonwealth Boulevard, north of Sisk Avenue and adjacent to Christ Presbyterian Church, developed by David Blackburn and The Blackburn Group.

While the exact opening date for the new Chipotle is unknown, the project is expected to be complete by August 2024. Construction on the development began earlier this year. Other letters of intent have been signed for the business space on the first floor of The Blackburn Group’s office building on Sisk Avenue. Chipotle has one other location in Oxford at 2151 Jackson Avenue. The Pearl Project includes nine buildings with 108 three-bedroom units as well as a clubhouse, amenity center, pool, and pool house.

“Oxford Commons is a new subdivision in Oxford, MS, that is just off of Sisk Avenue,” according to the development’s website. “These homes are built at the moment anywhere from the $ 200’s to the $ 400’s and nicer depending on what you are looking for. This subdivision is a planned unit development, which means it will have commercial properties as well as different types of residential units. You will also see that the Oxford High School is also in this area in the back of the Oxford Commons, as well as a Malco Movie Theater and a Wendy’s. There is talk of some law offices going in and some other things as well.”
